What is CredAbility? CredAbility is a web based Project Control Tool, made up of multiple modules that can be used independently or in conjunction with each other to provide a rounded, strategic, hierarchical overview of the Projects being run within small, medium, large or even multi-national corporation's. How does CredAbility work? CredAbility has a hierarchical approach to the view of its data, using Corporate as its top level, descending through Subsidiary and Programme, before arriving at its lowest level of Project. Every tool that is then contained within the CredAbility suite is provided within this hierarchy to ensure a consistent approach to the overall view. Why a hierarchy? CredAbility has been built around the hierarchy to allow the Corporate overview to not only be possible, but to be meaningful. Reporting and Alerts are configured at the highest level created for you, this means that any Subsidiary, Programme or Project that exists below adheres to the same standards. Does the Hierarchy have to be used as you describe? Simply put, no. Within reason you can adapt the use of the Hierarchy to suit your own needs. Examples may be that Corporate becomes Consultancy and Subsidiary becomes Client allowing your consultancy to monitor projects across all of its Clients, or maybe Project becomes Department, allowing actions and others to be tracked within a department. This second example would work in parallel to running projects in CredAbility allowing you to monitor the IT Service Desk, for instance, using the same structure. Who in the business is CredAbility available to? Anyone involved in the running of Projects or daily actions can make use of some or all of the CredAbility suite of tools. From the IT Help Desk monitoring the time associated with calls received, to the Programme Office running large projects, to the business user who takes part in Projects but whose full time job may have a different focus. Who can update the different levels in CredAbility? When you first decide to use CredAbility, our System Administrators will set up your Corporate Level and your own Corporate System Administrator, from this point forward the decision is yours. Go ahead and configure your own environment, adding Subsidiaries, Programmes, Projects and Users, or if you prefer, we can arrange to assist you with the administration of your system until such time as you are comfortable to take this over for yourself. How is this different to other tools? CredAbility has not lined itself up to compete with any existing tools, many of which have been around for more years than any of us care to remember. We are different for three key reasons, firstly because of our hierarchical approach to its structure, secondly due to its on-line availability, anywhere, anytime you have an Internet connection and finally because of the combination of existing and up and coming modules. Will CredAbility help reduce surprises? No Project Management or Control Tool will ever replace the knowledge and experience of a good team of people, our intention when creating this product was to provide a way in which Project information could be stored in a two dimensional model, facilitating control, analysis and learning. Why are we releasing a Beta Release? The best people to tell us what we need to include in CredAbility are you. Our aim in getting this out as a Beta Release is to allow you, our current and prospective users to get in there and try it out. Please do and then let us know what you think. What about support after the sale? There are many support options available to you when buying CredAbility. As a single user you will have access to email support, as soon as you buy a multi-user licence then a three tiered option is available, details can be provided on request. What technology is used to secure CredAbility? The CredAbility web site is available over standard HTTP, the tool itself will be accessed from this Domain over a minimum of 128bit SSL Encryption and through industry accepted minimum standards for logons and passwords. Where CredAbility is installed within your environment, it is recommended that a minimum of 128bit SSL Encryption is used, however this is at your discretion.
